Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पेशलेनातिभीमेन प्रसन्नेनाकुलेन च ।
गम्भीरेणातिपूर्णेन तेजसा रञ्जितप्रभम् ॥ २० ॥

peśalenātibhīmena prasannenākulena ca |
gambhīreṇātipūrṇena tejasā rañjitaprabham || 20 ||
