The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.6.8

तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा द्वास्था राजगृहं ययुः ।
संभ्रान्तमनसः सर्वे तेन वाक्येन चोदिताः ॥ ८ ॥

tasya tadvacanaṃ śrutvā dvāsthā rājagṛhaṃ yayuḥ |
saṃbhrāntamanasaḥ sarve tena vākyena coditāḥ || 8 ||

On hearing these words, the guards were struck with fear in their minds, and ran as they were bid to the palace of the king.
