The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कृशाङ्गश्चिन्तया युक्तः खेदी परमदुर्मनाः ।
नोवाच कस्यचित्किंचिल्लिपिकर्मार्पितोपमः ॥ ७ ॥

kṛśāṅgaścintayā yuktaḥ khedī paramadurmanāḥ |
novāca kasyacitkiṃcillipikarmārpitopamaḥ || 7 ||

Being emaciated in person, and growing thoughtful, sad and distracted in his mind, he remained speechless as a mute picture in painting.
