The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कृतायां तीर्थयात्रायां रामो निजगृहे स्थितः ।
जगामानुदिनं कार्श्यं शरदीवामलं सरः ॥ ४ ॥

kṛtāyāṃ tīrthayātrāyāṃ rāmo nijagṛhe sthitaḥ |
jagāmānudinaṃ kārśyaṃ śaradīvāmalaṃ saraḥ || 4 ||

But as Rama remained at home since his return from pilgrimage, he began to decay day by day as the translucent lake in autumn.
