The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जन्यत्रार्थं च पुत्राणां प्रत्यहं सह मन्त्रिभिः ।
कृतमन्त्रे महाप्राज्ञे तज्ज्ञे दशरथे नृपे ॥ ३ ॥

janyatrārthaṃ ca putrāṇāṃ pratyahaṃ saha mantribhiḥ |
kṛtamantre mahāprājñe tajjñe daśarathe nṛpe || 3 ||

The most wise king Dasaratha (now) consulted his ministers day after day about the marriage of his sons.
