The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.4.1

श्रीवाल्मीकिरुवाच ।
रामः पुष्पाञ्जलिव्रातैर्विकीर्णः पुरवासिभिः ।
प्रविवेश गृहं श्रीमाञ्जयन्तो विष्टपं यथा ॥ १ ॥

śrīvālmīkiruvāca |
rāmaḥ puṣpāñjalivrātairvikīrṇaḥ puravāsibhiḥ |
praviveśa gṛhaṃ śrīmāñjayanto viṣṭapaṃ yathā || 1 ||

Rama strewn over with handfuls of flowers by the citizens (surrounding him) entered the palace, as when the beauteous Jayanta (son of Indra) enters his celestial abode.
