Yajnavalkya-smriti with Mitakshara and Viramitrodaya

by J. R. Gharpure | 1936 | 832,987 words

Summary: This is the English translation of the Yajnavalkya Smriti including the commentaries Mitakshara by Vijnaneshwara Bhikshu, the Viramitrodaya by Mitra Mishra as well as the Dipakalika by Shulapani (latter parts only).

Note: The footnotes of the print publication quotes extensively from various Sanskrit sources in Devanagari script. However, I had noticed many different transcription mistakes making the proofreading a hard and faulty job. Hence I decided to abandon the very large quotations (often Vedic literature) for this digital edition. There are many online sources available where you can find such text; however, always remain cautious of digital Sanskrit text as they always remain prone to mistakes.
