Sun-worship Vratas (28) Puṣpa-dvitīya
The Puṣpadvitīyāvrata starts on the second day of the bright fortnight in the month of the Kārtika and is observed for a year. The Aśvins are worshipped with it. The performer should subsist on flowers fit for divine worship on the day and at the end donates flowers made of gold along with a cow. The worshipper achieves beauty with the observance of this vrata, and enjoys happiness along with his wife and sons.[1]
