The apūpa that is made with white wheat or barley flour mixed with jaggery and ghee of cow milk is placed thereon and Sūrya is worshipped there with red flower. After worshipping the deity the maṇḍala should be gifted to the Brāhmaṇas along with raktavastras and fee with the citation of a particular mantra.
