Verse 3.9.32
Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of verse 3.9.32:
कियाभेदाद्यथैकस्मिंस्तक्षाद्याख्या प्रवर्तते ।
क्रियाभेदात् तथैकस्मिन्नृत्वाद्याख्योपजायते ॥ ३२ ॥kiyābhedādyathaikasmiṃstakṣādyākhyā pravartate |
kriyābhedāt tathaikasminnṛtvādyākhyopajāyate || 32 ||32. Just as the same individual is called carpenter etc. according to the work which he does, hr the same way, due to difference in activity, Time which is One gets the names of the different seasons.
Commentary
[Because of difference in activity consisting in the production of different kinds of flowers and so on, Time, which is One, is called by different names such as Spring, Summer and so on.]
The author now speaks of other artificial divisions.
