Verse 1911: Disasters Follow if Jnani's Body is Consigned To Fire
Tamil text and transliteration:
எண்ணிலா ஞானி உடல்எரி தாவிடில்,
அண்ணல்தம் கோயில் அழல்இட்டது ஆங்கு ஒக்கும்,
மண்ணில் மழைவிழா வையகம் பஞ்சமாம்,
எண்ணரு மன்னர் இழப்பார் அரசே.
eṇṇilā ñāṉi uṭaleri tāviṭil,
aṇṇaltam kōyil aḻaliṭṭatu āṅku okkum,
maṇṇil maḻaiviḻā vaiyakam pañcamām,
eṇṇaru maṉṉar iḻappār aracē.
English translation of verse 1911:
If to fire the Jnani's body is consigned
That will be unto fire the Lord's temple consigned;
No more will rains fall on the land,
Famine shall ravish the world,
Countless kings will their kingdoms lose.
