Īśvara said:

1-3. There itself is the Mānava Liṅga installed by Manu formerly. O goddess, Manu became defiled by sins due to the slaughter of his son. After realizing that the holy spot is destructive of sins, he installed Īśvara and was relieved from that sin arising from the murder of his son. A man who worships it shall be relieved of sins.
