Sanskrit text and transliteration:
अरं छिद्रं भिदाऽन्यत्वं वेद्यवेत्तृत्वलक्षणम् ।
यस्मादुत्कुरुते मोहादात्मनो ब्रह्मणः स्वतः ॥ ४६४ ॥
araṃ chidraṃ bhidā'nyatvaṃ vedyavettṛtvalakṣaṇam |
yasmādutkurute mohādātmano brahmaṇaḥ svataḥ || 464 ||
English translation of verse 2.464:
Since through ignorance he makes, though a slight difference between himself and Brahman as the knower and the known, (he is one in possession of illusory cognition).
Notes:
This verse explains the meaning of the śruti text udaramantaraṃ kurute. Udaram (ut plus aram) means even a slight. Antaram means chidram, that is, hole, separation, difference.
