Sanskrit text and transliteration:

एवं तर्हि प्रवेशोऽस्य श्लिष्यते न कथञ्चन ।
न च गत्यन्तरं विद्मो येन वाक्यं समर्थ्यते ॥ ३८९ ॥

evaṃ tarhi praveśo'sya śliṣyate na kathañcana |
na ca gatyantaraṃ vidmo yena vākyaṃ samarthyate || 389 ||

English translation of verse 2.389:

This being so, its entry cannot be explained in any way. Nor do we know any other way by which the text can be made intelligible.

Notes:

After a critical examination of the different explanations that may be offered of the text which speaks about the entry of Brahman into the world, the opponent comes to the conclusion that there is no way in which the text tatsṛṣṭvā tadevānuprāviśat can be made intelligible.
