Sanskrit text and transliteration:

ब्रह्मणो वा परस्येयमाज्ञा ब्राह्मणलक्षणा ।
तस्मादादेश इत्येवं ब्राह्मणं सम्प्रचक्षते ॥ ३०० ॥

brahmaṇo vā parasyeyamājñā brāhmaṇalakṣaṇā |
tasmādādeśa ityevaṃ brāhmaṇaṃ sampracakṣate || 300 ||

English translation of verse 2.300:

Or, this Brāhmaṇa portion is so-called because it is the command of the supreme Brahman. Hence, by the word ādeśa is referred to the Brāhmaṇa portion.
