Sanskrit text and transliteration:

संसारयन्त्रमारूढो यमदूतैरधिष्ठितः ।
क्व यास्यामीति दुःखार्तः कालपाशेन योजितः ॥ २१८ ॥

saṃsārayantramārūḍho yamadūtairadhiṣṭhitaḥ |
kva yāsyāmīti duḥkhārtaḥ kālapāśena yojitaḥ || 218 ||

English translation of verse 2.218:

Mounted on the wheel of saṃsāra, led on by the messengers of Death, and bound by the cord of death, the jīva grieves: “Where am I to go?”

Notes:

The jīva who is caught in the wheel of transmigratory existence has no freedom when he leaves the gross body at the time of death with a view to reap the fruits of his previous karma.
