गर्भशय्यां समारुह्य दुःखं यादृङ्मयाऽऽपि तत् ।
नातिशेते महद्दुःखं निःशेषनरकेषु यत् ॥ १९६ ॥
garbhaśayyāṃ samāruhya duḥkhaṃ yādṛṅmayā''pi tat |
nātiśete mahadduḥkhaṃ niḥśeṣanarakeṣu yat || 196 ||
English translation of verse 2.196:
The intense pain suffered in all the hells put together cannot exceed the pain experienced by me who am lying on the bed of the womb.
