Sanskrit text and transliteration:

यावद्यावदयं देहो वर्धते गर्भशायिनः ।
तवत्तावदभिव्यक्तिर्लिङ्गस्याप्युपजायते ॥ १८८ ॥

yāvadyāvadayaṃ deho vardhate garbhaśāyinaḥ |
tavattāvadabhivyaktirliṅgasyāpyupajāyate || 188 ||

English translation of verse 2.188:

As this (physical) body (of the jīva) lying in the womb grows, his liṅga-śarīra also manifests itself more and more.

Notes:

Both the visible physical body and the invisible subtle body (liṅga-śarīra) grow simultaneously.
