Sanskrit text and transliteration:

जनेऽसानि यशश्चेति पूर्वस्यैतत्प्रयोजनम् ।
वस्यसोऽहं सकाशाच्च श्रेयान्स्यां गुणतोऽधिकः ।
वसीयसो वस्यस इतीलोपश्छान्दसो भवेत् ॥ ८४ ॥

jane'sāni yaśaśceti pūrvasyaitatprayojanam |
vasyaso'haṃ sakāśācca śreyānsyāṃ guṇato'dhikaḥ |
vasīyaso vasyasa itīlopaśchāndaso bhavet || 84 ||

English translation of verse 1.84:

May I become renowned among men—this is the fruit of the earlier (invocation). May I become superior among the wealthy on account of abundant merits. The word vasīyas has become vasyas by the dropping of the letter ī in the Vedic usage.
