The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.9.29; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र आद्यं, यथा —
किं नः फणि-किशोरीणां त्वं पुष्कर-सदां सदा ।
मुरली-ध्वनिना नीवीं गोप-बाल विलुम्पसि ॥४.९.२९॥

tatra ādyaṃ, yathā —
kiṃ naḥ phaṇi-kiśorīṇāṃ tvaṃ puṣkara-sadāṃ sadā |
muralī-dhvaninā nīvīṃ gopa-bāla vilumpasi
||4.9.29||

English translation

Unsuitable words:
“O baby cowherd! How is it that You loosen the belts of us young snake girls living in the land of Kāliya by the sound of Your flute?”
