The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.9.19; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र लता, यथा —
सखि मधु किरती निशम्य वंशीं
मधु-मथनेन कटाक्षिताथ मृद्वी ।
मुकुल-पुलकिता लतावलीयं
रतिम् इह पल्लवितां हृदि व्यनक्ति ॥४.९.१९॥

tatra latā, yathā —
sakhi madhu kiratī niśamya vaṃśīṃ
madhu-mathanena kaṭākṣitātha mṛdvī |
mukula-pulakitā latāvalīyaṃ
ratim iha pallavitāṃ hṛdi vyanakti
||4.9.19||

English translation

Creepers:
“The creepers that had become soft by Kṛṣṇa’s glance are oozing honey on hearing the sound of His flute. They reveal the love for Kṛṣṇa that has sprouted in their hearts by displaying goosebumps in the form of buds sprouting on their limbs.”
