तत्र शान्तोपरसाः —
ब्रह्म-भावात् पर-ब्रह्मण्य् अद्वैताधिक्य-योगतः ।
तथा बीभत्स-भूमादेः शान्तो ह्य् उपरसो भवेत् ॥४.९.४॥tatra śāntoparasāḥ —
brahma-bhāvāt para-brahmaṇy advaitādhikya-yogataḥ |
tathā bībhatsa-bhūmādeḥ śānto hy uparaso bhavet ||4.9.4||
English translation
Śāntoparasa arises from accepting the impersonal brahman feature of the Lord, from contemplating oneness of everything with the Lord, from continual disdain for the body, and from discrimination of cit and acit.
