The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.8.50; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यस्य मुख्यस्य यो भक्तो भवेन् नित्य-निजाश्रयः ।
अङ्गी स एव तत्र स्यान् मुख्यो’प्य् अन्यो’ङ्गतां व्रजेत् ॥४.८.५०॥

yasya mukhyasya yo bhakto bhaven nitya-nijāśrayaḥ |
aṅgī sa eva tatra syān mukhyo’py anyo’ṅgatāṃ vrajet
||4.8.50||

English translation

“The primary rasa that is revealed as one’s own, for which a particular devotee is the constant āśraya, remains predominant in that particular devotee (aṅgī), and other primary rasas become aṅgas.”
