स्तोकाद् विभावनाज् जातः सम्प्राप्य व्यभिचारिताम् ।
पुष्णन् निज-प्रभुं मुख्यं गौणस् तत्रैव लीयते ॥४.८.४५॥stokād vibhāvanāj jātaḥ samprāpya vyabhicāritām |
puṣṇan nija-prabhuṃ mukhyaṃ gauṇas tatraiva līyate ||4.8.45||
English translation
“A secondary rasa that arises from a slight stimulus takes on the quality of a vyabhicārī-bhāva, and having nourished the primary rasa, merges into it.”
