केवले वत्सले नास्ति मुख्यस्य खलु सौहृदम् ।
अतो’त्र वत्सले तस्य नतरां लिखिताङ्गता ॥४.८.३२॥kevale vatsale nāsti mukhyasya khalu sauhṛdam |
ato’tra vatsale tasya natarāṃ likhitāṅgatā ||4.8.32||
English translation
“In pure vatsala-rasa, there is no friendship with other primary rasas. Primary rasas have not been described as aṅgas for vatsala-rasa as aṅgī for this reason.”
