The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.7.9; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ प्रायिकी —
अमेध्य-पूत्य्-अनुभवात् सर्वेषाम् एव सर्वतः ।
या प्रायो जायते सेयं जुगुप्सा प्रायिकी मता ॥४.७.९॥

atha prāyikī —
amedhya-pūty-anubhavāt sarveṣām eva sarvataḥ |
yā prāyo jāyate seyaṃ jugupsā prāyikī matā
||4.7.9||

English translation

“Disgust arising in all types of people and in all sorts of circumstances from impure or foul-smelling things is called prāyikī (common) disgust.”
