The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.7.3; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
पाण्डित्यं रत-हिण्डकाध्वनि गतो यः काम-दीक्षा-व्रती क्
उर्वन् पूर्वम् अशेष-षिड्ग-नगरी साम्राज्य-चर्याम् अभूत् ।
चित्रं सो’यम् उदीरयन् हरि-गुणानुद्बाष्प-दृष्टिर् जनो
दृष्टे स्त्री-वदने विकूणित-मुखो विष्टभ्य निष्ठीवति ॥४.७.३॥

yathā —
pāṇḍityaṃ rata-hiṇḍakādhvani gato yaḥ kāma-dīkṣā-vratī k
urvan pūrvam aśeṣa-ṣiḍga-nagarī sāmrājya-caryām abhūt |
citraṃ so’yam udīrayan hari-guṇānudbāṣpa-dṛṣṭir jano
dṛṣṭe strī-vadane vikūṇita-mukho viṣṭabhya niṣṭhīvati
||4.7.3||

English translation

An example:
“Astonishingly, those persons who previously were clever in methods of seducing women, and dedicated to lust, ruling over lecherous cities, now continually chant the Holy Name of the Lord with tears in their eyes. When they see the face of a woman, they twist their faces, and becoming motionless, spit.”
