The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.5.23; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

हस्त-निस्पेषणं दन्त-घट्टनं रक्त-नेत्रता ।
दष्टौष्ठतातिभ्रू-कुटी भुजास्फालन-ताडनाः ॥४.५.२१॥
तुष्णीकता नतास्यत्वं निश्वासो भुग्न-दृष्टिता ।
भर्त्सनं मूर्ध-विधूतिर् दृग्-अन्ते पाटल-च्छविः ॥४.५.२२॥
भ्रू-भेदाधर-कम्पाद्या अनुभावा इहोदिताः ।
अत्र स्तम्भादयः सर्वे प्राकट्यं यान्ति सात्त्विकाः ॥४.५.२३॥hasta-nispeṣaṇaṃ danta-ghaṭṭanaṃ rakta-netratā |
daṣṭauṣṭhatātibhrū-kuṭī bhujāsphālana-tāḍanāḥ ||4.5.21||
tuṣṇīkatā natāsyatvaṃ niśvāso bhugna-dṛṣṭitā |
bhartsanaṃ mūrdha-vidhūtir dṛg-ante pāṭala-cchaviḥ ||4.5.22||
bhrū-bhedādhara-kampādyā anubhāvā ihoditāḥ |
atra stambhādayaḥ sarve prākaṭyaṃ yānti sāttvikāḥ ||4.5.23||
English translation
“The anubhāvas of raudra-bhakti-rasa are wringing the hands, grinding the teeth, reddening of the eyes, biting the lips, deeply contracting the brows, flinging the arms, beating others, silence, hanging the head down, heavy breathing, glancing with hostility, cursing, shaking the head, having the edges of the eyes turn pink, frowning, and quivering of the lower lip. All of the sāttvika-bhāvas such as paralysis manifest.”
