The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.5.9; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र अनवहितः —
कृष्ण-पालन-कर्तापि तत्-कर्माभिनिवेशतः ।
क्वचित् तत्र प्रमत्तो यः प्रोक्तो’नवहितो’त्र सः ॥४.५.९॥

tatra anavahitaḥ —
kṛṣṇa-pālana-kartāpi tat-karmābhiniveśataḥ |
kvacit tatra pramatto yaḥ prokto’navahito’tra saḥ
||4.5.9||

English translation

The inattentive person:
“Those who are responsible for protecting Kṛṣṇa but, because of being absorbed in some service, become careless in their duties are called anavahita (inattentive).”
