अथ दान-वीरः —
द्वि-विधो दान-वीरः स्याद् एकस् तत्र बहु-प्रदः ।
उपस्थित-दुरापार्थ-त्यागी चापर उच्यते ॥४.३.२५॥atha dāna-vīraḥ —
dvi-vidho dāna-vīraḥ syād ekas tatra bahu-pradaḥ |
upasthita-durāpārtha-tyāgī cāpara ucyate ||4.3.25||
English translation
“There are two types of dāna-vīras: the person who gives in plenty (bahu-prada) and the renounced person who does not want to accept what is given by the Lord (upasthita-durāpārtha-tyāgi).”
