चतुष्टये’पि वीराणां निखिला एव सात्त्विकाः ।
गर्वावेग-धृति-व्रीडा-मति-हर्षावहित्थिकाः ।
अमर्षोत्सुकतासूया-स्मृत्य्-आद्या व्यभिचारिणः ॥४.३.१७॥catuṣṭaye’pi vīrāṇāṃ nikhilā eva sāttvikāḥ |
garvāvega-dhṛti-vrīḍā-mati-harṣāvahitthikāḥ |
amarṣotsukatāsūyā-smṛty-ādyā vyabhicāriṇaḥ ||4.3.17||
English translation
“All the four types of heros show all the sāttvika-bhāvas and all the vyabhicārī-bhāvas such as garva, āvega, dhṛti, vrīḍā, mati, harṣa, avahitta, amarṣa, utsukatā, asūyā and smṛti.”
