The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.3.10; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तथा च हरि-वंशे —
तथा गाण्डीव-धन्वानं विक्रीडन् मधुसूदनः ।
जिगाय भरत-श्रेष्ठं कुन्त्याः प्रमुखतो विभुः ॥४.३.१०॥

tathā ca hari-vaṃśe —
tathā gāṇḍīva-dhanvānaṃ vikrīḍan madhusūdanaḥ |
jigāya bharata-śreṣṭhaṃ kuntyāḥ pramukhato vibhuḥ
||4.3.10||

English translation

From Hari-vaṃśa:
“The Lord Madhusūdana defeated Arjuna, wielder of Gāṇḍīva, the best of the Bharata dynasty, in front of Kuntī in mock battle.”
