The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.3.5; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

प्रतियोद्धा मुकुन्दो वा तस्मिन् वा प्रेक्षके स्थिते ।
तदीयेच्छावेशेनात्र भवेद् अन्यः सुहृद्-वरः ॥४.३.५॥

pratiyoddhā mukundo vā tasmin vā prekṣake sthite |
tadīyecchāveśenātra bhaved anyaḥ suhṛd-varaḥ
||4.3.5||

English translation

“In this rasa, the friends fight against Kṛṣṇa, or fight against His best friends in Kṛṣṇa’s presence, according to Kṛṣṇa’s desire.”
