The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.2.7; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथोक्तं श्री-दशमे (१०.६९.२) —
चित्रं बतैतद् एकेन वपुषा युगपत् पृथक् ।
गृहेषु द्व्य्-अष्ट-साहस्रं स्त्रिय एक उदावहत् ॥४.२.७॥

yathoktaṃ śrī-daśame (10.69.2) —
citraṃ bataitad ekena vapuṣā yugapat pṛthak |
gṛheṣu dvy-aṣṭa-sāhasraṃ striya eka udāvahat
||4.2.7||

English translation

This is described in the Tenth Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam [10.69.2]:
“It is quite amazing that in a single body Lord Kṛṣṇa simultaneously married sixteen thousand women, each in a separate palace.”
