The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 4.1.22; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. अवहसितम् —
तच् चावहसितं फुल्ल-नासं कुञ्चित-लोचनम् ॥४.१.२२॥

avahasitam —
tac cāvahasitaṃ phulla-nāsaṃ kuñcita-locanam
||4.1.22||

English translation

“When the nose swells and the eyes squint, it is called avahasita (intense laughter).”
