जाड्यम् —
यः पुण्डरीकेक्षण तिष्ठतस् ते
गोष्ठे कराम्भोरुह-मण्डनो’भूत् ।
तं प्रेक्ष्य दण्ड-स्तिमितेन्द्रियाद् यद्
दण्डाकृतिस् ते जननी बभूव ॥३.४.६८॥jāḍyam —
yaḥ puṇḍarīkekṣaṇa tiṣṭhatas te
goṣṭhe karāmbhoruha-maṇḍano’bhūt |
taṃ prekṣya daṇḍa-stimitendriyād yad
daṇḍākṛtis te jananī babhūva ||3.4.68||
English translation
Jāḍyam(inaction):
“O lotus-eyed one! Seeing Your stick that was the ornament of Your lotus hand while You were in Gokula, Your mother has today become like a stick, with all her senses stopped.”
