The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.4.15; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. व्रजाधीशस्य रूपं, यथा —
तिल-तण्डुलितैः कचैः स्फुरन्तं
व्रज-राजं वर-कूर्चम् अर्चयामि ॥३.४.१५॥
“I worship Nanda, the corpulent king of Vraja, who has a mixture of black and white hair on his head, an attractive beard as white as the moon, and clothing the color of a new banyan leaf.”
