The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.3.84; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

शङ्खो, यथा —
पाञ्चाली-पतयः श्रुत्वा पाञ्चजन्यस्य निस्वनम् ।
पञ्चास्य पश्य मुदिताः पञ्चास्य-प्रतिमां ययुः ॥३.३.८४॥

śaṅkho, yathā —
pāñcālī-patayaḥ śrutvā pāñcajanyasya nisvanam |
pañcāsya paśya muditāḥ pañcāsya-pratimāṃ yayuḥ
||3.3.84||

English translation

The conch as uddīpana:
“Look, the five Paṇḍavas hearing the sound of the Pāñcajanya conch, become white like Lord Śiva in great joy.”
