The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.3.82; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ शृङ्गं, यथा —
व्रज-निज-वडभी-वितर्दिकायाम्
उषसि विषाण-वरे रुवत्य् उदग्रम् ।
अहह सवयसां तदीय-रोम्णाम्
अपि निवहाः समम् एव जाग्रति स्म ॥३.३.८२॥

atha śṛṅgaṃ, yathā —
vraja-nija-vaḍabhī-vitardikāyām
uṣasi viṣāṇa-vare ruvaty udagram |
ahaha savayasāṃ tadīya-romṇām
api nivahāḥ samam eva jāgrati sma
||3.3.82||

English translation

The horn as uddīpana:
“When the horn sounded loudly from the steps on the rooftop pavilion in the summer season of Vraja, all the cowherd boys awoke with hair standing on end.”
