The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.3.70; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. यथा —
यष्टिं हस्त-त्रय-परिमितां प्रान्तयोः स्वर्ण-बद्धां
बिभ्रल्-लीलां चटुल-चमरी-चारु-चूडोज्ज्वल-श्रीः ।
बद्धोष्णीषः पुरट-रुचिना पट्टि-पाशेन पार्श्वे
पश्य क्रीडन् सुखयति सखे मित्र-वृन्दं मुकुन्दः ॥३.३.७०॥yathā —
yaṣṭiṃ hasta-traya-parimitāṃ prāntayoḥ svarṇa-baddhāṃ
bibhral-līlāṃ caṭula-camarī-cāru-cūḍojjvala-śrīḥ |
baddhoṣṇīṣaḥ puraṭa-rucinā paṭṭi-pāśena pārśve
paśya krīḍan sukhayati sakhe mitra-vṛndaṃ mukundaḥ ||3.3.70||
English translation
“O friend! Look in that direction. Mukunda, shining brightly with a clump of flower buds on His head, wearing a turban bound by a golden cloth cord, holding a black staff four and a half feet long capped at both ends with gold, is giving bliss to His friends.”
