The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.3.47; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अस्य सख्यं, यथा —
वयस्य-गोष्ठ्याम् अखिलेङ्गितेषु
विशारदायाम् अपि माधवस्य ।
अन्यैर् दुरूहा सुबलेन सार्धं
संज्ञा-मयी कापि बभूव वार्ता ॥३.३.४७॥

asya sakhyaṃ, yathā —
vayasya-goṣṭhyām akhileṅgiteṣu
viśāradāyām api mādhavasya |
anyair durūhā subalena sārdhaṃ
saṃjñā-mayī kāpi babhūva vārtā
||3.3.47||

English translation

Subala’s friendship:
Mādhava discussed topics full of allusions difficult to understand by others with Subala, since Subala was most expert among all the friends in grasping Kṛṣṇa’s hints.”
