The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.3.34; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

तस्य रूपं, यथा —
बिभ्रद् गेण्डुं पाण्डुरोद्भास-वासाः
पाशा-बद्धोत्तुङ्ग-मौलिर् बलीयान् ।
बन्धूकाभः सिन्धुर् अस्पर्धि-लीलो
देवप्रस्थः कृष्ण-पार्श्वं प्रतस्थे ॥३.३.३४॥

tasya rūpaṃ, yathā —
bibhrad geṇḍuṃ pāṇḍurodbhāsa-vāsāḥ
pāśā-baddhottuṅga-maulir balīyān |
bandhūkābhaḥ sindhur aspardhi-līlo
devaprasthaḥ kṛṣṇa-pārśvaṃ pratasthe
||3.3.34||

English translation

Devaprastha’s form:
“With a ball in his hand, with light yellow cloth, topknot tied with a cord and red complexion, strong Devaprastha, romping around like the king of the elephants, walks by Kṛṣṇa’s side.”
