The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.3.26; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. अत्र मण्डलीभद्रस्य रूपम्, यथा —
पाटल-पटल-सद्-अङ्गो लकुट-करः शेखरी शिखण्डेन ।
द्युति-मण्डली-मलि-निभां भाति दधन् मण्डलीभद्रः ॥३.३.२६॥atra maṇḍalībhadrasya rūpam, yathā —
pāṭala-paṭala-sad-aṅgo lakuṭa-karaḥ śekharī śikhaṇḍena |
dyuti-maṇḍalī-mali-nibhāṃ bhāti dadhan maṇḍalībhadraḥ ||3.3.26||
English translation
The form of Maṇḍalībhadra:
“Maṇḍalībhadra appears with a pink cloth decorating his shining limbs, club in hand, peacock feather on his head, with the shining black complexion of a bee.”
