The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.175; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

सिद्धिः —
मिलितः शम्बर-पुरतो मदनः पुरतो विलोकयन् पितरम् ।
को’हम् इति स्वं प्रमदान् न धीर् अधीर् अप्य् असौ वेद ॥३.२.१७५॥

siddhiḥ
militaḥ śambara-purato madanaḥ purato vilokayan pitaram |
ko’ham iti svaṃ pramadān na dhīr adhīr apy asau veda ||3.2.175||

English translation

Meeting for the first time:
“When Pradyumna, arriving from Śambara’s city, saw his father in front of him [for the first time], though he was by nature very sober, out of great joy, he forgot himself and thought, ‘Who am I?’ ”
