The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.169; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

प्रेमा, यथा —
द्विषद्भिः क्षोदिष्ठैर् जगद्-अविहितेच्छस्य भवतः
कराद् आकृष्यैव प्रसभम् अभिमन्याव् अपि हते ।
सुभद्रायाः प्रीतिर् दनुज-दमन त्वद्-विषयिका
प्रपेदे कल्याणी न हि मलिनिमानं लवम् अपि ॥३.२.१६९॥

premā, yathā —
dviṣadbhiḥ kṣodiṣṭhair jagad-avihitecchasya bhavataḥ
karād ākṛṣyaiva prasabham abhimanyāv api hate
|
subhadrāyāḥ prītir danuja-damana tvad-viṣayikā
prapede kalyāṇī na hi malinimānaṃ lavam api
||3.2.169||

English translation

Prema:
“O killer of demons! The feeble enemies managed to take Abhimanyu from Your hands and killed him, though You desire to protect the whole world. However, Subhadra’s auspicious affection for You did not decrease by one degree.”
