The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.162; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ सात्त्विकाः —
कन्दर्प विन्दति मुकुन्द-पदारविन्द-
द्वन्द्वे दृशोः पदम् असौ किल निष्प्रकम्पा ।
प्रालेय-बिन्दु-निचितं धृत-कण्टका ते
स्विन्नाद्य कण्टकि-फलं तनुर् अन्वकार्षीत् ॥३.२.१६२॥atha sāttvikāḥ —
kandarpa vindati mukunda-padāravinda-
dvandve dṛśoḥ padam asau kila niṣprakampā |
prāleya-bindu-nicitaṃ dhṛta-kaṇṭakā te
svinnādya kaṇṭaki-phalaṃ tanur anvakārṣīt ||3.2.162||
English translation
An example of sāttvika-bhāvas:
“Having seen the lotus feet of Mukunda, your body has become immobile, covered with perspiration, with hairs standing on end. Your body is imitating a flowering thorn bush spread with snow.”
