The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.139; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

केचिद् अस्या रतेः कृष्ण-भक्त्य्-आस्वाद-बहिर्मुखाः ।
भवत्वम् एव निश्चित्य न रसावस्थतां जगुः ॥३.२.१३९॥

kecid asyā rateḥ kṛṣṇa-bhakty-āsvāda-bahirmukhāḥ |
bhavatvam eva niścitya na rasāvasthatāṃ jaguḥ ||3.2.139||

English translation

“Some persons with no taste for kṛṣṇa-bhakti, on considering dāsya-rati, conclude that it does not reach a state of rasa.”
