The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.139; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. केचिद् अस्या रतेः कृष्ण-भक्त्य्-आस्वाद-बहिर्मुखाः ।
भवत्वम् एव निश्चित्य न रसावस्थतां जगुः ॥३.२.१३९॥kecid asyā rateḥ kṛṣṇa-bhakty-āsvāda-bahirmukhāḥ |
bhavatvam eva niścitya na rasāvasthatāṃ jaguḥ ||3.2.139||
English translation
“Some persons with no taste for kṛṣṇa-bhakti, on considering dāsya-rati, conclude that it does not reach a state of rasa.”
