The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.107; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा वा —
ह्रियम् अघहर मुक्त्वा दृक्-पतङ्गी ममासौ
भयम् अपि दमयित्वा भक्त-वृन्दात् तृषार्ता ।
निरवधिम् अविचार्य स्वस्य च क्षोदिमानं
तव चरण-सरोजं लेढुम् अनिव्च्छतीश ॥३.२.१०७॥

yathā vā —
hriyam aghahara muktvā dṛk-pataṅgī mamāsau
bhayam api damayitvā bhakta-vṛndāt tṛṣārtā
|
niravadhim avicārya svasya ca kṣodimānaṃ
tava caraṇa-sarojaṃ leḍhum anivcchatīśa
||3.2.107||

English translation

Another example of cāpalam:
“O destroyer of Agha! O Lord! I have given up shyness and become fearless of devotees. With thirsty heart, not considering my insignificant position, I desire like a bee to taste Your lotus feet constantly.”
