The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.84; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ स्नेहः —
सान्द्रश् चित्त-द्रवं कुर्वन् प्रेमा’स्नेहऽ इतीर्यते ।
क्षणिकस्यापि नेह स्याद् विस्लेषस्य सहिष्णुता ॥३.२.८४॥

atha snehaḥ
sāndraś citta-dravaṃ kurvan premā’sneha' itīryate |
kṣaṇikasyāpi neha syād visleṣasya sahiṣṇutā ||3.2.84||

English translation

Sneha:
“When prema becomes extremely thick and the heart melts, it is called sneha. In this state, one cannot tolerate even a moment’s sepatation from the Lord.”
