The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.60; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अत्र मुरली-स्वनो, यथा विदग्ध-माधवे —
सोत्कण्ठं मुरली-कला-परिमलान् आकर्ण्य घूर्णत्-तनोर्
एतस्याक्षि-सहस्रतः सुरआतेर् अश्रूणि सस्रुर् भुवि ।
चित्रं वारिधरान् विनापि तरसा वैर् अद्य धारामयैर्
दूरात् पश्यत देव-मातृत्कम् अभूद् वृन्दाटवी-मण्डलम् ॥३.२.६०॥atra muralī-svano, yathā vidagdha-mādhave —
sotkaṇṭhaṃ muralī-kalā-parimalān ākarṇya ghūrṇat-tanor
etasyākṣi-sahasrataḥ suraāter aśrūṇi sasrur bhuvi |
citraṃ vāridharān vināpi tarasā vair adya dhārāmayair
dūrāt paśyata deva-mātṛtkam abhūd vṛndāṭavī-maṇḍalam ||3.2.60||
English translation
The sound of His flute, from Vidagdha-mādhava:
“Hearing the sound of Kṛṣṇa’s flute, the thousand eyes on Indra’s shaking body are shedding tears that are falling on the ground. Though there are no clouds in the sky, Vṛndāvana has been nourished by showers made of those tears.”
